SHIPPING POLICY
Charges
Orders for treats, chews, leads and collars are dispatched from The Happy Dog Shop. Post and packaging to standard UK postcodes is £4.99.

Orders for food (kibble) are dispatched by the food manufacturers. Post and packaging to standard UK postcodes is £5.99.
​
Orders that contain products with more than one dispatch location will incur a delivery charge for each dispatch location, with the exception of orders over £75.

Orders over £75 qualify for free delivery.
Timescale
We aim to have our parcels delivered between 3-5 working days. This can take longer over busy periods and if we are awaiting stock but you will be informed of this on placing your order. Our leads and collars are made to order, so these may take longer, but we will keep you updated.
Courier
We use various parcel delivery partners. We will confirm who will be delivering your parcel and issue a tracking number where applicable.

Click and collect
For convenience we are offering a click and collect service with our local dog training, walking and drop in partners. If you wish to choose this option use the discount code provided by the partner you would like to collect from. Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for this option.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
In line with the Distance Selling Regulations you have a 14 day cooling off period after receiving your order. The customer must contact The Happy Dog Shop in the first instance to arrange the return of the items. This can be done via our Contact Us page. When returning an item these conditions must be met:

Items must be in an as-new condition and unused.
The item must be sent back using the same delivery method as it was dispatched. This is to avoid lost items.
A refund for the product price will be initiated within 14 days once we have received the returned goods. The original delivery charge will be refunded if returned within the Terms of The Distance Selling Regulations. The customer will be responsible for the delivery cost for returning the items. Orders are checked before being dispatched and are packaged well to avoid damage during transit, however, if your order is damaged or faulty when you receive it please let us know within 24 hours, after this time we will not accept responsibility. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process.

Exceptions/non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want on an incorrect order placed by you the customer is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
